My name is Jayne Craddock, and I write under the pseudonym of The Grandma, because I made my living as the Professional Tennessee Tourist.

I photographed and wrote about my home state as Jayne Craddock at tennesseetourist.com, "Where Your Adventure Begins."

The adventures of Little Dog and Miss Kitty (The Tailless Cat) came from stories I told my youngest granddaughter Emily.

Em was born with a very rare kidney disease. I would try to give her mother a much needed break, so I would tell baby Em stories.

They were more to calm me and entertain me while we rocked or napped as she went through the lengthy process of dialysis.
